Buckwheat
Buckwheat is not technically a grain nor a cereal. Buckwheat Groats are the hulled seeds of the buckwheat plant. Despite the name, buckwheat is not related to wheat, as it is not a grass.
Toasted buckwheat is used to make traditional dishes in several different cultures. Generally toasted buckwheat is referred to as “kasha”.
Buckwheat is a great source of gluten free fiber, contains rutin, known to strengthen capillary walls as well as other necessary nutrients, including manganese and copper.
